Plan access and parking before arrival
Ask your accommodation where to unload and park near your stay. For the old bazaar and central walks, leaving the car in an appropriate place may be simpler than moving it between stops. Allow for arrival and check-in time.
Treat extra stops as separate stages
Adding Pogradec or another stop requires time for visits and breaks, not only driving. Check weather and roads before setting off. Discuss rural or unusual road use with the rental team instead of assuming every mapped route is permitted.
Confirm borders and airport return
Travel outside Albania requires advance clarification of approval and documents. Proximity to a border is not permission to cross. The current return point is Tirana Airport, so plan the last night and flight day accordingly.
